Ventures Unlimited, Inc. specializes in community employment success for individuals with diverse abilities within an equally diverse labor force throughout Barron, Sawyer, and Washburn Counties.
The Retail Associate Program is a customizable, 12 week one-to-one program designed to train individuals in the area of retail employment skills. Training covers the basic topics of retail employment such as customer service skills, workplace communications, teambuilding, workplace safety, self-advocacy, retail technology, maintaining employment and preparing for employment.
For the successful candidate, the outcomes of the program are retail training and experience, a vocational assessment, a referral to DVR and a certificate of completion.
Retail associate training takes place at any of the 3 Ventures Thrift Store locations. Our thrift stores have been successfully operating since 1990.
