The Ventures Unlimited Thrift & Gift Shoppe and Just for the Birds is on the south side of Spooner.  We rely on our local community for support in the form of donations and store purchases.  We value our relationships with our customers and the individuals that donate to our shoppe.  This location provides meaningful employment for up to 10 people in the form of sorting donations, tagging clothes, pricing housewares, books, toys, and furniture, sweeping and cleaning the store, preparing items for sale, running the cash register, answering the phone, and picking up and transporting donations. In addition to the thrift area, the store includes a gift gallery featuring artwork and handcrafted items made by consumers at Ventures.  Just for the Birds is located in the front of the store and offers bird feeders, bird houses, and suet products hand made by employees at Ventures.  This wild bird business has been owned and operated by Ventures Unlimited since 2000.  In addition, we offer a variety of wild bird seed, deer corn, and accessories for our feathered friends.  The black oil seed and deer corn are locally grown. Our employees load the bulk product, package the product and then transport it to our stores.  We are thankful to our communities for allowing us to provide so many of our consumers with meaningful work experiences through their continued support of Ventures Unlimited, Inc. and our local economy.

Monday-Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-3pm

We accept donations of gently used apparel, household items and books.  We ask that the merchandise you bring to us be “gently used” or new in order to keep our stores stocked with quality merchandise.  Your donations are tax deductible.  Ventures Unlimited, Inc owns and operates the Ventures Unlimited Thrift and Gift Shoppes and is a 501(c)(3) organization.
